1.General Duty Assistant

General Duty Assistant (GDA) is also known as “Nursing Care Assistants”, “Nursing Assistants”, “Nursing Aides”, in a hospital setting. General Duty Assistant provide patient’s daily care, patient’s comfort, patient’s safety and assist the patient to meet their health needs. They should practice infection control policy and know right methods of bio medical waste management. GDA works in collaboration with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver the prescribed healthcare services to their patients.
General Duty Assistants should demonstrate basic patient care skills, communication skills, and ethical behavior at all times. He / She should know their work limits and maintains work operations by following policies and procedures. GDA has many career options and can grow to take on more responsibility, similar to an entry level nurse, work independently as a home nurse.

Course Delivery:

Face to face classes include theory and practical sessions.

Assessment:

• Internal assessment
• External assessment by HSSC approved assessment agency

Course Award:

On successful completion of the course the candidates will get the certificate from NSDC.

Eligibility:

Preferably Class X, but Class VIII can also be considered under certain conditions.

Duration:

420 hrs/3 Months

A General Duty Assistant can grow through promotions, experience and education to the profile of a Clinical Nurse Supervisor and finally achieve the position of a Head Nurse .

2.Frontline Health Worker

Frontline health workers provide life-saving services directly to communities, where they are needed more, especially in remote and rural areas. Frontline health workers help bridge the gap. Preventative care is where frontline health workers can potentially be the most effective. Frontline health workers can serve as a connector between the past and the present. Improving access to health workers with the right skills, in the right numbers, and in the right places is crucial to health progress.

Course Award:

On successful completion of the course the candidates will get the certificate from NSDC.

Eligibility:

• Provide primary medical care to the local community as ASHA Bahu, Dai, Nurse Helper.
• To act as depot holders for Outline the activities of FHW especially in: To maintain records & registration
• Counsel the community regarding various health related programmes and issues.

3.Pharmacy Assistant
